Coach Rick Nordstrom – Owner/Area Director

Coaching Experience: 31 years/ with last 13 at Cinco Ranch High School as the Head Boys and Girls Golf Coach. Retired, but very active with the administering of Beltway JGT tournaments, TJGT tournaments, and in-school fundraising.
College Attended: Midland University (Nebraska) – played intercollegiate basketball
Coaching Highlights: Coached 12 teams to the State Championship Tournaments. Coach Nordstrom has won the Katy ISD Coach of the Year; continues to serve as the UIL Director for the Region III-6A Boys/Girls Golf Tournament; has served on the THSCA Advisory Rules Committee for Golf; and has been an All-Star Basketball Coach for the Greater Houston Area after coaching in 5 Regional Basketball Tournaments.

Coaching Highlights: Prior to joining Kingwood HS in 2019, helped Atascocita get to the State 5A Regional tournament 4 of the last 6 years and attended the STATE tournament twice with one player. 1st time District Champions for school history 2014. Coached 6 future collegiate golfers.
Personal Achievements: 4-year varsity golfer at Humble High. Competed in the 1996 5A State Tournament (team finished 3rd). Played collegiate golf at San Jacinto Jr. College and Lamar University.
